‘Martha the Morris’ by Chanel Irvine

£650

Photograph printed on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper, edition of 50, 35x52cm

This photograph is taken from Chanel’s series ‘An English Summer’, which featured in her first photobook published by Hoxton Mini Press.

Chanel Irvine is a documentary and portrait photographer based between London and Kent. Her practice aims to document the tension between preservation and change  - of heritage, environments, societal norms - as well as celebrating the more timeless relationships between people and place. Using what she likes to call a ‘retrospective lens’,  Chanel is drawn to moments that conjure nostalgia for a time gone-by; ordinary moments  and interactions that persist seemingly unaffected by our constantly transforming world.
