In our first show we will be showcasing some of the previous artists in residence at the cottage. An exciting group of highly acclaimed artists have made work which was influenced by their time in the five valleys; from Stroud station to common cows…

Join this playful workshop to make your own kite with our August artist-in-residence Jeanne Harignordoquy. We will meet at 5pm after the workshop for a celebratory kite flying session on the common. All are welcome to watch!

From hauntingly beautiful depictions of a small town in Michigan to forgotten recollections of our own Stroud hills, this show offers a glimpse into the mysterious visions of this fascinating and prolific painter.

Our winter artist in residence is Isabelle Carr. Isabelle’s work serves as an evaluation of the collection and categorisation of visual information; a process central to how we interact with the physical world.

Opens February 28th

Rebecca’s pieces are inspired by abstracted elements of nature interacting with human forms within imagined landscapes, moving from suggestions of mythical narrative into the more ambiguous, fluid space of uncertainty.

Chelsea Vivash works in marquetry to explore the many intricate textures of wood. As one of our original Artists-in-residence we are excited to have her back to show a series of pieces gallery in April 2026.
