Join this one day taster workshop to learn how to create contemporary designs using the traditional, handmade woodworking technique of marquetry.

Chelsea will share her experience to guide you through creating a decorative marquetry piece using a combination of coloured and textured wood veneers.

All materials will be provided for the course, including all the wood veneers, glues and finishes. Some drawing materials will also be provided, but please feel free to bring along any sketchbooks and drawing/colouring implements that you may wish to use to create your design with.

Woodworking knowledge isn’t essential, but it helps to have good control of a scalpel blade, as the technique requires some cutting precision.

The workshop runs from 11am - 4pm (1 hour break for lunch)
