Unique hand crafted marquetry piece, unframed as intended, 45x45cm
Chelsea Vivash is a Bristol based artist specialising in marquetry. Her work explores the textural qualities of wood to challenge the dynamics of traditional notions of craftmanship. With a striking graphic style Chelsea takes inspiration from the natural forms and cursive nature of wood grain and combines this with her own drawings to make her one of a kind pieces.
Working with the historic practice of marquetry she has gained attention for her pieces which traverse the space between interiors and art.
Chelsea came to stay at This House in 2022 and we will be presenting a solo show of her work in the gallery in April 2026.
