  • Isabelle Carr (b.1997) is an artist from Dorset. She studied Fine Art at Falmouth University and has lived and worked in London, Chengdu, and more recently moved back to Dorset where this new work was conceived.

Handpicked by Saatchi Art’s Chief Curator as one of their ‘Rising Stars’ Isabelle’s work is sought after for its confident use of colour, space and abstraction whilst maintaining nuanced themes related to her unique observations of the rituals in landscapes and the organic forms.

Carr’s paintings experiment with minimal compositions, layering refined silhouettes and repeating symbols in muted tones. This technique creates a sense of depth and intrigue within her artworks.

Isabelle came to This House in November as our Winter artist-in-residence to complete the final parts of this new collection
