Rebecca Sammon is a British artist based in London whose practice occupies the space between figuration and a shifting, dreamlike world. Working across painting and drawing, she reconfigures the human figure within layered, unstable landscapes where forms emerge, dissolve and transform. Mythology, nature and embodied movement recur as central references, continually reworked within fluid, ambiguous terrains. Colour and gesture operate as structuring languages, shaping psychologically charged compositions that hold a tension between narrative suggestion and uncertainty.
Drawing remains foundational to her practice, generating surfaces built through repetition, rhythm and accumulation. Figures, botanical forms and fractured elements coexist within these shifting visual systems, forming unstable relationships rather than fixed motifs. Her recent bodies of work explore interconnectedness and transformation between worldly and otherworldly states. Rebecca is a winner of the Delphian Gallery Open Call and has exhibited widely, including with Delphian Gallery, Blue Shop Cottage, Wilder Gallery, 155a Gallery, Daniel Raphael Gallery and Berntson Bhattacharjee, alongside regular collaborations with Partnership Editions. Her work is held in the collections of Soho House and private collectors internationally.
